This version of the NEWLUG "Information Resources for Beginners" USB thumb drive menu attempts to conveniently provide relevant information to those Linux newcomers, the true beginners, that may not have fast Internet access. The latest version of this menu is available thru the above Internet link. Updated USB thumb drives are available upon request.

The first seven items in the left column of this page are available on both the USB thumb drive version and the Internet version. Additional items might appear in the left column, yet they may only be available on the actual USB thumb drive. Many USB thumb drive items (such as video files) may not be on the web site mostly because of space limitations on our server.

Nearly all menu items are easily accessible as either browsable HTML pages, Adobe PDF files, or simple TXT (text) files. Note that there may still be a few .COM, .EXE, .RPM and other various file types scattered about on the USB thumb drive. They are gradually being eliminated as time and effort permits.

If you copy the USB thumb drive onto your workstation hard drive, you can see this menu by accessing the menu.html file with your browser. Additionally, most all of the left column menu links should work on your workstation without needing to keep the USB thumb drive in your computer.

For those with Internet access, below are additional links to information:
